
Alexander Höller

Lives and works in Munich
Alexander Höller’s practice explores intense emotional states, psychological tension, and symbolic imagery through expressive painting. After leaving school at the age of seventeen to fully dedicate himself to art, he studied at the Freie Kunstwerkstatt in Munich before being admitted to the Akademie der Bildenden Künste Nürnberg in 2015. In 2018 he continued his studies at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste München, graduating with a diploma in 2020.
Höller’s work has been presented in numerous international exhibitions and art fairs. His early exhibitions include ONE WORLD – ONE LOVE (Rathaus Schweinfurt, 2017) and HEART & EMOTION (Munich, 2018). Since then, his work has been shown internationally in galleries and institutions such as HO Gallery in Vienna (COSMOS,
2019), Galerie Martina Kaiser in Cologne (STURM, 2020; Die Stille nach dem Sturm, 2021), Gallery Rother in Wiesbaden and Hamburg, and Kunsthalle Schweinfurt (EXPANSION, 2022).
Höller has also participated in major international art fairs including Art Miami, KIAF Seoul, and Art Toronto. In the United States his work has been exhibited at Casterline|Goodman Gallery in Aspen, where he presented a solo exhibition in 2024. Recent exhibitions include 360 (Kunstlabor Munich & Galerie Martina Kaiser, 2023), PARADOXICAL (All You Can Art & Quittenbaum Gallery, Munich, 2024), and DEMONS (Galerie Hegemann, Munich, 2025). His paintings have been shown across Europe, North America, and Asia, including presentations in Berlin, Marbella, Aspen, Miami, Toronto, and Seoul.
