DELFINO FIDEL
b. 1998, Switzerland
Lives and works in Arogno (CH)
Loris Delfino Fidel Bessler graduated from the Scuola Cantonale d’Arte in Lugano in 2018 and subsequently studied at the Bern University of Teacher Education, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Sciences in June 2024. He developed his artistic practice through participation in competitions (Stanze dell’arte, Zuger Kunstpause, Junge Kunst Olten) as well as through exhibitions in various group shows in institutional contexts (m.a.x. museo, Chiasso; Zuger Kunstnacht, Zug), art galleries (Better Go South, Stuttgart; Kromya Art Gallery, Lugano; Artrust, Maroggia), and independent art spaces (Bacio Collective, Bern; Molti Tesori, Mendrisio; Lager 14, Baar; Kunstverein Olten).
In his sculptures, he combines objects, iconic figures, and pop symbols, transforming them into carriers of meaning and expression. Humor plays a central role, serving as a striking and provocative device. His works openly engage with the complexities and contradictions of contemporary society, as well as with the profound interconnections that permeate it. He explores how these dynamics unfold and become visible within the communicative dimension. On this level, traces emerge in the circulation and evolution of visual symbols and codes that reflect modes of expression and perception in the digital modern age.
