JAK
b. 2001, USA
Lives and works in Boston (MA)
JAK is a multifaceted American artist with disciplines in painting, illustration, photography, sculpture, and furniture design. His diverse studio practices are meticulously crafted to build upon one another, all in service of environment curation.
His paintings are characterized by simplified shapes and stark compositions – MAXIMALLY MINIMAL - featuring only essential storytelling elements. Crude symbols are challenged and personally reimagined to convey the aftermath of personal tragedy with both woe and fury.
This exhibition marks the artist’s fourth international and thrid European show. JAK made his international debut at Capsule in Toronto and has exhibited multiple times in New York. Following his successful European debut with BETTER GO SOUTH 2024 in Berlin, the up-and-coming artist caught the attention of rapper UFO361. This led to JAK painting and designing the cover for Ufo 361’s 2024 single, SAY GOODBYE – another milestone in his promising career.
